Discovering Southern Africa by coach is one of the best ways of seeing these amazing countries and we hope that from our selection of tours and tour operators, that there will be a tour to suit everyone's choice and budget.

Learn about and experience the "Real Africa" as they say, with some itineraries offering a stimulating and educational experience while others offer a specific theme. Each tour though, has a mixture of sightseeing and culture, entertainment and unique highlights. Enjoy the in-depth knowledge of the trained crews, who will point out scenic highlights (plus offer photographic opportunities) as well as giving an informative commentary of all places that are being travelled through.

All the escorted tours featured will be led by an experienced tour guide/manager who will travel with the tour. They are there primarily to see that you get the most out of your touring experience and will keep you in touch with the local history of the area and will help you to interpret what you see. They will also help with the checking in and out of your accommodation and generally caring for your needs and requirements.

Meal Inclusive Tours

Some of our escorted tours include meals. These tours are clearly marked and indicate which meals are included each day. Breakfast and dinner will generally be at your hotel, lunches will be at a convenient en-route stop.

Land Only

None of the tour prices listed usually include any international, regional or domestic airfares to the starting point of the tour or from the ending point of the tour. On any tours that involve some form of internal or regional flight within Southern Africa, the air portion will possibly be shown as an optional supplement and this may be purchased from us as a separate item (see Flight Information on the Main Southern Africa Menu)

Transfers

For traveller from outside of Southern Africa, most escorted tours include return transfers from your arrival airport to your hotel or a transfer from your hotel to the coach starting point. These transfers will usually be by scheduled coach services. For those who would prefer a "meet and greet" service, this can also be arranged although supplements will apply. Please request this at the time of booking.

Luggage

Due to space limitations on board tour coaches, baggage allowance is limited to one suitcase per person plus one carry on bag. Please note that this can be a different allowance to your international, regional or domestic flights. Baggage handling for one suitcase per person is included in the tour price.
