WILDLIFE & ADVENTURE

Wildlife & Nature

Unlimited Opportunities - The Southern Africa region is probably the best place in the world to be able to offer so many different opportunities for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers, that no number of pages can do justice to all the possibilities. We offer but a few suggestions in each of the countries in the region and the programmes featured in these pages have been designed to be a short-break and added to your regular holiday or can be full blown trips in themselves. None of the locations featured are so far off the beaten track that they cannot be reached either by rail, river, road or a short flight.

Naturally, if it is your wish to partake in a particular type of safari or pursue a specific activity on your trip or a suitable combination of both, then this can be tailor-made to suit your specific desires. Therefore, if you seek assistance, please contact one of our staff members, as, in many cases, they can offer you firsthand advice from their own experiences as well as an expert opinion, that we hope will go towards assisting you with your travel plans.

Mother Nature - As a nature lover and outdoor enthusiast, you will know only too well that "Mother Nature" rarely, if ever, gives up her secrets or shows us her beauty easily and, of course, can also be very fickle with the weather. You must consider, therefore, that your quest for a sighting of certain species of wildlife whether it be bird or beast are, at best, left much to chance, however much skill or experience you can muster.

While every effort to give you options here that minimise the risks, or risk of disappointment or failure, it has to be said that there can never be any guarantees with any type of programmes. Our promise is to put you into the very best areas, during the prime seasons and with expert local guides and naturalists, yet, the outcome is very much in the hands of fate. We must therefore, ask you to read very carefully the Warning and Disclaimer paragraph at the bottom of this page.

Adventure Travel

The Spirit of Adventure - What makes the Southern part of Africa a great destination to travel to, has to be its vastness, its grandeur and its great diversity. This diversity encompasses not only the multiple ethnic and tribal backgrounds of its inhabitants (in some cases going back millions of years) living in a varying landscape, that take your from great dusty plains to high mountain passes and from luscious rainforests to lunar like desert. But, it also enables us to offer you just about any type of adventure activity in some of the most unusual yet appropriate settings.

The examples that we show are really just the tip of the iceberg and we will be adding many more possibilities in the near future. If there is any particular adventure activity that you would like to participate in, simply contact us and let us know what you would like to do and we will try our best to get you further information on your chosen event.

The adventure options we have selected are, in the main, suitable for all members of the family who are in a reasonably fit condition and enjoy the outdoors, although certain activities require minimum weight and/or height limitations. They are not intended to make you feel like you 'need a holiday' when you have finished, rather they will add a little excitement and a level of challenge that will make you feel refreshed and energised. Also we hope it will give you a great sense of wellbeing and affinity for the natural world that is around you.

Warning & Disclaimer

Wildlife in its natural habitat can be dangerous and you must NEVER approach or feed any wild animal or interfere with their young. UNLESS you are given specific authorisation to do so by a qualified Park Ranger or Naturalist. and then only at your own risk.
