INDEPENDENT TRAVEL

Independent Travel and pre-planned Independent Tours are becoming an increasingly popular way to travel to Australia. Independence can mean anything from car rental, a city stopover break or staying each night at a different hotel or Inn with an accommodation pass to an across Australia train journey, cruising through the Whitsundays or staying at an island resort and "doing-your-own-thing" each day. The possibilities and choices are endless.

The natural inclination for most independent travellers is not to plan or book too far ahead, but by doing so you can save yourself a lot of time, money and disappointment too. All the elements that can be pre-booked as Independent units, such as accommodation, cars and motorhomes, rail or bus travel and transfers etc., can be found in the "Transportation" and "Accommodation" parts of this section.

In the "Independent Touring" part of this sections there are a number of tours included that have been pre-arranged, using independent elements under "Pre-Planned Tours." Then a full variety of "Mini-Breaks" from City Stopovers to Island Stays along with a multitude of full and half day "Sightseeing" opportunities in every region plus a selection of Explorer and Luxury "Cruises" that are possible around the country.
