INDEPENDENT TRAVEL

Independent Travel and pre-planned Independent Tours are becoming an increasingly popular way to travel within America. Independence can mean anything from car rental, a city stopover break or staying on a ranch or in golf resort to island hopping in Hawaii, cruising the New England coast or spending each night at a different hotel or lodge (in a National Park) and "doing-your-own-thing" each day. The possibilities and choices are endless.

The natural inclination for most independent travellers is not to plan or book too far ahead, but by doing so you can save yourself a lot of time, money and disappointment too. All the elements that can be pre-booked as Independent units, such as accommodation, cars and motorhomes, rail or bus travel and transfers etc., can be found in the "Transportation" and "Accommodation" parts of this section.

In the "Independent Touring" part of this sections there are a number of tours included that have been pre-arranged, using independent elements under "Pre-Planned Tours." Then a full variety of "Mini-Breaks" from City Stopovers to Island Hopping along with a multitude of full and half day "Sightseeing" opportunities in every region plus a selection of "Cruising" opportunities on either seaboard.

Finally, for those of you who would like to devise your own Independent Travel package and are not so familiar with what to do in each area, we have a unique "Tour Planner" which is currently under construction and will be able to assist you in putting together your own itinerary in an easy, workable manner.
