America is considered one of the standout adventure destinations in the world as well as being the ultimate location for any type of sporting holiday. The selections that are offered are fun, challenging and safe with an opportunity to meet like-minded adventurous and sport orientated people and in many cases, no previous experience is necessary and single travellers or groups are always welcome.

Not in your wildest dreams, could you image a better theatre for adventure than America. The call of the great outdoors is heard everywhere and there will certainly never be dull moment. Different challenges and great adventures are available almost around every corner and with such a variety of diverse landscapes from mountains to deserts, from coastlines to canyons and of course its modern cities, there is no wonder. This country is a 'must do' for the adventure traveller with so many possibilities to experience.

Americans love to play sport and there are so many different types of sports available to be played. Golf is probably the biggest with course dotted all around the country, some in the most amazing locations and settings. Other sports such as skiing, rowing, rock climbing and windsurfing are all available too; the list is almost endless. Many Americans are also marvellously exuberant spectators and in addition to the myriad of spectator sports such as American football, basketball, ice hockey and basketball, there is an endless flow of "sporty fads" that spring up around the beaches of Florida, California or Hawaii, such as surfing, inline skating and Frisbee throwing too.

The country's greatest assets are its spaciousness (despite it huge cities) and of course its nature. America has a varied and vast natural environment and an ideal climate in which to enjoy them. A country with an incredible lifestyle, many extraordinary beaches, compelling and unique wildlife and inspiring natural contrasts. It is no wonder that America is considered one of the best adventure and sport destinations in the world.

The programmes featured have been developed with two types of people in mind, those with little experience of adventure or sporting activities, but who have been thinking about having a go and those who are more experienced and are looking for more quality or better thrills. Don't think you have to be a dare devil to enjoy one of these types of holidays for in order for you to have a truly relaxing time, you need to have some adventure to blow the cobwebs from your mind, body and soul.
